The custom cabinetry design in this kitchen and mudroom grew out of the historic home’s original architecture, starting with the graceful curve found in the front entry. We carried that idea throughout the space, shaping the banquette, mudroom bench and hood alcove with subtle arcs that echo its storybook character. Inset cabinetry with beveled doors keeps the look transitional and timeless, while rift-sawn red oak, tongue-and-groove millwork and carefully placed brass details add warmth and depth. Every cabinet was designed around how the homeowners live, from spice drawers and boot storage to an L-shaped banquette built for gatherings.
